Malkara School is supported by many loyal community partners who contribute significantly to the quality of educational facilities, equipment and programs delivered here through their generous donations. The school's P&C Association actively supports and facilitates a range of fundraising activities throughout the year.
As a result of the successful fundraising efforts of our community facilitated by the P&C, the school library has had a complete makeover and a new beautiful bus was purchased. In 2011 a new covered outdoor learning space has been added, and in 2012 the P&C significantly contributed to the cost of a literacy consultant who worked with the whole school for the year. The current project being considered is a major upgrade of our main playground.

Lanyon Markets
Several years ago, two delightful folk approached Malkara School to enquire whether the school would be happy to receive a regular donation they planned to make. George and Gwenneth are true friends of Ruth and Duncan Woodhouse, whose little girl Amy, was a student here until she passed away in 2007. In memory and honour of Amy's short life, George and Gwenneth, who in their busy lives also administer the Lanyon Markets each week of the year, asked if they could donate the table hire fee to Malkara. We readily agreed!
The latest additions from the Markets proceeds include; stainless steel musical pillars for the playground, a wheelchair accessible sand table within the playground sandpit and a large red climbing frame for our greenway area.
We are grateful to George and Gwenneth for their enduring commitment and care for students at Malkara.
